Pop star sensation Lady Gaga surprised her millions of fans by parading on stage without an underwear showing that she is intersex and has male and female genitalia. This has not yet been confirmed, but the video is certainly interesting. There are also reports that she has said:"Its not something that I’m ashamed of, just isn’t something that I go around telling everyone. Yes. I have both male and female genitalia, but I consider myself a female. Its just a little bit of a penis and really doesn’t interfere much with my life. the reason I haven’t talked about it is that its not a big deal to me. Like come on. its not like we all go around talking about our vags. I think this is a great opportunity to make other multiple gendered people feel more comfortable with their bodies. I think it'd definitely be interesting if it were true but I don't know...something about Gaga's persona makes me leery to believe her all the time. And I know gossip rags like to say she's really a man so yeah...I hope this isn't a case of words getting taken out of context or blow out of proportion.

not every intersex person develops a physiological feature body some do because of the medicine they used, unfortunately sometimes develops that exact body disorder, you see in actuality most intersexuals look like you and me and you wouldn't even know. There are a lot of famous people that were born with this condition so please do better research.

There are LOTS of different kinds of intersex. There is not "typical physiological features" of intersex in general. Of specific intersex conditions, sure.
I looked at the video probably 10 times, even paused it and full screened it...and I can't for the life of me see what the fuss is about. I know what I'm *supposed* to be seeing, but I ain't seeing it.
It looks very real to me, but who knows Lady Gaga does shit to get PR and paparazzi are nuts. I'll wait till she addresses it herself.
I read through a couple seperate reports. This is actually a trans male who does shows AS Lady Gaga, as Gaga herself would actually use the word 'penis' and 'vagina' not poon and peen. Or whathave you.
I've seen photo's of the 'Lady Gaga' during the interview, check out the legs, it's not her, also, Gaga has shown high school photo's, baby photo's and she's worked as a stripper before.
Wouldn't this all of come out WAY sooner if she was?

Well she seemed to do it deliberately, so I think she wanted us to discuss it and perhaps it was her way of coming out.
I agree with Anonymous and Nox above. Posts like this are part of the long history of the non-intersex viewing intersex people and our bodies as public and theirs to gawk at and speculate about. I wish I could say I am surprised to see a something like this on this blog, but based on how intersex has been handled here in the past, sadly I am not.

I am insulted and disgusted by this post. WTF Queers United? How long til you get the point that it's not cool for you to speculate about other people's bodies, identities, experiences, etc? What kind of unity are you promoting when you engage in this kind of freak-show style body-focused gossip? Frankly it's none of anyone's business what Lady Gaga's genitalia looks like or how she identifies. This site is NOT promoting positive visiblity for intersex people (or, I agree with takesupspace above, trans people). This is worse than the National Inquirer because it pretends to be about empowerment when really it perpetuates the myth that intersex bodies are freakish and rare or something to be gossiped about or gawked at. Shame on you. If Lady Gaga chooses to come out as intersex there will be an attributable quote from a reputable source. Until then, stop quoting unreliable sources and perpetuating a demeaning culture of "is she/isn't she?" that makes being intersex seem like a shameful thing that one has to disclose.

Um, why is it at all ok to run through a video and examine her genitalia in order to decide whether she is intersex or not? I'm not trying to be rhetorical with that question, I actually legitimately want to know how you possibly think this kind of post is ethical.

Her genitals are her business, the reason I posted it is because it seemed deliberate and accompanied by the rumored quote appeared to be a statement. Celebrities are under the public spotlight, whether we agree or not they don't enjoy the same privacy as ordinary citizens. Everything they do is tabloid.

I think that your claims of Gaga's announcing that she's intersexed are unsubstantiated. This is based on several reasons:
1) Gaga's supposed quote describes intersexed anatomy in a way that is, in fact, anatomically impossible. You are describing "hermaphrodites," which humans cannot biologically be based on how human sex organs develop. Additionally, external genital anatomy is not the sole diagnostic characteristic for identifying intersexed; it is based on possessing one or several features, including atypical external and internal genitalia, chromosome combinations (= karyotype), hormone levels, musculature, bone structure, body hair, breasts, etc. Thus, the range of intersexed conditions is highly variable. 2) It is telling to note that Lady Gaga has not made an announcement to any mainstream sources intersexed, transgendered, or anything else. Others have also noticed that she doesn't disclose information on her blog. If her quote is real, then why doesn't any other blog reporting this seem to be able to find its source?
3) Even if Lady Gaga's external genitals appear penile in nature, as some viewers have reported, why would one assume that this means that she's intersexed? Based on the variability of intersexed biology and physiology described in the first point, this just doesn't make sense.
Posting about this without having the facts is exploitative. For a blog that is supposedly dedicated to raising awareness, you seem only to simply be spreading misinformation and reporting something that is simply no one's business unless Lady Gaga herself decides to share it. And it has NOT been made clear that she has decided to do just that.

If you are a famous person and you flash your genitals at a huge concert, people are going to talk. If those genitals do not match or in some way deviate from the image you have, then they are going to be speculated about. Look at all the times Paris or Britney have shown their vags to the public; the pics end up all over the internet and are commented upon millions of times. A video getting out that may/may not show genitals that aren't strictly female on a female celebrity are going to be under the same, if not more, examination.
It's a hoax anyway.
As a non-celebrity intersexed person who's never flashed my genitals at a huge concert, but who has been outed, told what I "really should do" with my genitals, and completely disrespected on a regular basis by the queer community, I'm not surprised by the gawking at the circus freak thing that's happening here. Situation normal.

the "reports" of what she said aren't true. it was written as a fake blog of hers by somebody else, and she has never said that she is intersex. when asked in an australian interview if she had a penis, she replied "my vagina is very offended."
