Shameless Self Promotion Sunday
Please feel free to share any links to queer or queer related topics of interest. You can post a blog entry you made, a website you found interesting. Anything goes as long as it is queer in nature.
I'm promoting the queer short fiction that I am publishing soon. This blog page http://mbranesf3.blogspot.com/ has details about the book, its contents and authors as well as a couple of fund-raising campaigns that we are doing to support its publication and also my monthly magazine. The collection is called THINGS WE ARE NOT: Tales of the New Queer, and it will be fantastic.
Still the best post out of all the ones in my blog (in my opinion) is the description and analogization of dysphoria for cisgendered folk.
I wanted to not just help trans folk who have similar bodily dysphoria to me articulate that but also to describe my own dysphoria in such a way that someone who hadn't experienced it can comprehend it better.
This Thursday we're having an OC Equality meeting at Denny's at 2314 E 17th St, Santa Ana. We'll discuss the DC March for Equality, meeting with reps, our upcoming fundraiser, the OC Pride picnic and kiss-in & more - Join us!
I just added a new feature at Stop8.org -- now you can sign up for a regular emailed digest of the day's top headlines about California Marriage Equality. This way, you can be sure to always get the latest news on what's going on with the fight to overturn Prop 8. You can sign up here: http://stop8.org/subscribe.html
Don't forget the great national kiss in on Saturday, Aug 15 at 2pm. Find somebody to love, we all need somebody to love. Give them a big old kiss for me.
