Organization Spotlight: National Education Association GLBT Caucus
The National Education Association Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Caucus (NEA GLBT) works to provide GLBT teachers, education support professionals, and students, with safe schools free of anti-GLBT bias and intolerance, and to provide sound education programs for all students.
This is even more important than some people may realize since being a teacher is a disproportionately common job for gay men.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure that is true, libhom. I've had both and the lesbians win. Maybe I misinterpret your comment. I also had more str8 male teachers. Only in Drama do I think you are on spot.
ReplyDeleteWhat would help straight teachers recognize their homophobic attitudes, and change their anti-gay behavior (especially in the teacher's lounge)?
