do you mean south asian, e.g. india? while curry is eaten in parts of east asia (particularly japan and parts of china), it's more common in (and stereotypically associated with) south and southeast asia.
not to mention the men in that photograph look and dress closer to south asians than east.
Don't you mean South Asian? I think East Asians are Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, Taiwanese and Mongolians.
