Word of the Gay: "Bi Pride"

"Bi Pride" is about acceptance and recognition of being bisexual or sexually fluid, and working to maximize bisexual visibility and understanding.

Sorry. don't believe it for a second. It's 'confusion' not fluidity.

A very happy Bi Pride day to all of you my friends, I have a post coming out on that in just a little under 30 minutes.

Grey confusion is when you don't know, bisexuals very much know that they like both. How would you feel if someone told you that you were confused about your identity? You know what you are, they know what they are.

Greyseeker - I'm not confused. You're the one who's confused.

Happy Happy Bi Pride Day to all of us fabulous Bisexuals!!

Somehow, I doubt that a homophobic comment would be tolerated here. But ignorant, biphobic comments like Greyseeker's get posted. So thanks for giving us that to read on Bi Pride Day.

For all you biphobic bigots out there who are under this tired old delusion that bisexuals can only be real if you "believe" in us, would you please get the hell over yourselves? We are people with a different sexual identity from yours. There is not just gay and straight. It's not up to you to grant us the right to exist. Sorry to make reality more complicated for you, but we ARE real.

I'm also tired of this term "fluid". That just contributes to the misconception that we are wavering or inconstant. I find individual men and women equally attractive. I have no preference for one gender over another. I like both. But above all, it's about the individual person for me. I am not confused about it at all. It's who I am. And I'm proud of it.

I do post comment that are misunderstanding of homosexuality as well, because its an opportunity to engage in dialogue and explain the truth. What I don't post is comments that clearly just demonstrate hate or just post bible passages.

As far as fluidity there are people who experience that, including myself. It doesn't make someone confused it means your interests evolve over time and do change. Not all bisexuals are fluid, and some straight people are fluid.

DEFEND FLUIDITY EVERY CHANCE YOU GET. I'm not confused but I'm excited to help those people who often get confused by bisexuality. It's different but it doesn't mean it's wrong!
