The House of Representatives has introduced an immigration reform bill that does not include protections for same-sex couples. The Uniting American Families Act (UAFA) would establish criteria for "permanent partners" enabling bi-national couples to obtain immigration rights if one spouse has citizenship and the other does not.Keep up the pressure on congress and the senate to push for broader and comprehensive immigration reform that protects same-sex couples and their families.
