Another day and another task we have in combating blatant homophobia. The O'Reilly factor had a segment about "Hunky Jesus" an event in San Francisco where men dress up as Jesus. The event is hosted by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Whether you like the event or are personally offended by it, people have the right to exercise their right to free speech and so do O'Reilly and Miller. However, I prefer to call them out on it and let them know they are wrong to talk about gays in this manner.
Dennis Miller refers to gays as "homosexual morons who want to throw a parade" and O'Reilly says "Wouldn't you love to see these people turned into salt" and Miller responds he "doesn't know, and just doesn't care"

Millions of people tuned into this homophobic crap.
Please contact O'Reilly and Miller and let them know homophobia on our airwaves is not welcome.

Better yet, contact their sponsors and network!
I agree contacting fox and sponsors would be a more effective route.
Dennis Miller is not totally anti-gay. He's basically saying that he is religious and thinks the "Hunky Jesus" contest being held by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence on Easter Sunday is in bad taste. Whether Fox News recipients and Bill O'Reilly understand that as a point is another thing altogether. I don't care about religioun, and I don't find Miller particularly entertaining anymore, but if you watch the end of his HBO special you'll see he throws gay boys some support in front of an audience that is not necessarily prepared to receive it. I find that admirable, so I don't appreciate blogs like this, or gay news sites barking up the wrong tree and taking his quotes out of context. Report the FULL TEXT OF THE CONVERSATION, please. Why not stick to Fox News as the enemy and on O'Reilly for being so "gay-sensational" and religion-alarmist instead. And in your recognition of free speech for gays, you missed the fact that Miller acknowledged that the contest participants can do whatever they want, too, adding that his god would strike them down if he chose to. Not a particularly nice sentiment, but it's obvious nonsense anyway. Don't you agree?
I saw the clip in question in context. They were referring to a public parade which was not kid friendly, not gays in general.
In a similar vein, how can you tolerate degradation of religion ("hunky Jesus") and in the same paragraph call out people for degrading homosexuality?
