Word of the Gay: "Tomboy"

A "tomboy" is a female who is displaying gender characteristics that are considered by society to be masculine or behaviorally male.

I am just ignoring anon's comments, my mommy told me "when you aint got nothing good to say, don't say it" clearly anon didn't learn that. Eh whatevers. The fight for equality remains!

That's like me being intersex, I consider myself a tomboy, because I don't fit the typical male/female thing. I can chaulk that up to the DNA I have and be thankful I have it.

I was a Tomboy....but I sure like the small flower pattern on my dresses to....turned out i grew up to be a transman. Love the tomboys to this day!

Aye yi yi .. the more you think about all of these gender and cross gender terms, the more it's clear that there's a biological element involved here where certain traits (ascribed by the dominant culture) are more typically present in males (thus male gender) or more typically in females, but can be dispersed quite randomly in either sex.

Why society has such a problem with allowing freedom of expression in any gender is beyond me.

I have been a tomboy for over fifty years and have found the best friend ever and he is gay. After 2 failed marriges he is just what the doctor ordered purley platonic relationship of cource. He ticks the boxes and im not under any pressure every girl needs a GBF
