Queers United: Word of the Gay: "Zie"

"Zie" is a gender neutral pronoun replacing he or she that is used within the genderqueer community.

Quinn said...: I like this, language shapes how we think. By shifting the language focus away from gender it shifts the cultural focus away from gender as well. With that focus shifted people can be who they are inside with less focus on who they are outside.; November 15, 2009 at 9:56 AM
