Homophobe Greg Gutfeld of Fox News at it Again

It was not long ago that we reported and had a call to action based on Mr. Gutfeld's transphobic remarks on his show Red Eye over the Pregnant Trans-man story.

Well the jerk is at it again, this time making homophobic remarks over Ellen DeGeneres announcement of her plans to marry long time partner Portia de Rossi on her daytime talk show in light of California Supreme Court's pro same-sex marriage ruling.

Contact Fox News and Red Eye and tell them to stop their Homophobia!

What an ass. I understand that he's not on until 3 am, though. (My mom *loves* Faux News, and forwarded me this "hilarious" video by the same guy comparing Hillary to a nagging wife and Obama to a shapely stripper that only a stupid person would marry.) There's a really good reason for him to be on when almost no one is watching.

"seeing Ellen happy, makes me happy - for everyone should be happy with the one they love - be they straight, gay, transgendered, bi-curious, master-slave, S and M, or even Belgian."

Please continue to ignore the above statement, and please take a satire on celebrities' need to make their private lives public out of proportion.

Here's what I wrote to them: It amazes me how you call your self a news channel when you help spread hatred. News means you report the happenings of the world in an unbiased form. Spewing homophobia from your net work in the name of news isn't news. But I guess if Fox news was around in 1948 when Africian Americians could now marry white people you would have dropped the words homosexuals and put in negro. Way to go!!

Where exactly are the "homophobic remarks" you referred to? I watched the video twice, thinking I missed them, but still couldn't find any.

Oh this is insane people... Have you got any idea how it looks when people actually look into this diatribe based a complete nonsense and hate-hunting?

It looks like you are out for a linching, it looks that way to anyone of any corner of life that cares to look...

When you attempt to conduct this type of hate rally you do reason, and anyone who believes in it, a discredit...

Now I and everyone like me that cares will have to field arguments that *use this very example of shallow and irrational witch hunting* to try and show what this movement has become...

Please stop parsing words and splicing context, and just plain assuming to suit your need for anger as a force for 'change'...

You have an absolute right to be offended. Greg Gutfeld also has every right to make fun of Ellen Degeneris and Portia Di Rossi getting married.

You also have every right to not have a sense of humor. Greg Gutfeld also has every right to make a joke.

FYI. Greg has had openly gay and transgendered guests on Red Eye and treated them respectfully. I suppose you would be more happy with outrage than facts.

How very tolerant of you.

I absolutely detest FoxNews, but like the other poster, where exactly are the homophobic remarks? If anything, it was anti-Belgian!

Please give us all a break!!! This is the reason no one takes the gay lobby seriously!! You pick little battles against people that can do nothing to move ahead the gay agenda. Why not put your hate bashing against those in the government where the real change has to take place instead of acting like children on the school yard and ganging up on Greg Gutfeld just because he has a valid point and you don't like it. This is why your agenda is scoffed at by those in the mainstream, none of you can seem to unite and and put forth anything other then more of the same old crap that you have been spewing for years!!

Oh he and the show are just ignorant he talks about straights and anyone else the same way. He doesn't play favorites to me. I've only tried to watch it less than a handful of times & it was too painful, that stupid panel of guest -- good grief!

I can see it as a satire on celebrities' need for attention, but I guess it's offensive to me mainly because it's just plain not funny! I'm tired of people thinking that being loud and insulting is a formula for instant humor.

He didn't say one single thing that is anti-gay! If anybody finds this homophobic, they deserve to be imprisoned for stupidity.

Red Eye never pretends to be a news show. So, while it is on a newsy network, it can't be judged by the same standard you would judge Brit Hume or Wolf Blitzer.

Red Eye could even be seen positively by the GLBT community...in that it airs stories and talks about issues that often "real" news shows don't dare touch.

I have no idea where to begin.

First off, I don't think you've ever watched an entire episode. If you have, you'd know that Greg isn't a homophobe. Heck, he had Leslie Jordan on that SAME NIGHT (who happens to be gay). Of course if you had watched the show at all instead of finding one clip online to get your panties in a wad over, you'd CLEARLY see that Greg isn't homophobic. But of course you wouldn't mention something like that since it completely kills any kind of argument you are trying to start or agenda you are trying to push.

You need to really remove your head from your rear end, wake up to reality and quit jumping to conclusions.

Although I understand how one could have a knee-jerk reaction to this, it must be understood in context. Red Eye is a comedy spoof show. The individuals on there make fun of everyone. No group is left untouched. Why attack this show, or something like, south park, or family guy when there are instances of real prejudice and bigotry. I am afraid that by treating off color humor as the same as genuine homophobia and bigotry we trivialize the real prejudice against the GLBT community. Wisdom must overcome blind passion if real progress is to be made.

I'm sorry, I just don't see where the outrage over what he said is coming from. I didn't see any 'anti-gay' comments at all, mostly, a commentary on the status of celebrities who feel they need to pubicize their private life and how short-lived those relationships seem when they do so.

I'm trying to be on your side, but, in this instance, you're wrong about not only the content, but, the context of Mr. Gutfeld's comments.

Although I fail to see any so called "homophobic" sentiments in the gregalogue, Greg would have all the right in the world to his opinions as do the homosexual activists, in my opinion.

You asshats need to stop being stupid. By defending this so-called "man" Thomas Beattie as a Gay Blogger and using the defense of Gay Rights, you conceed your point that Beattie is a man. The only way you can use the Anti-Defamation thing is if Thomas were a woman. "He" is in fact a "she"... Sexual Identity and Gender are completely seperate things. "He" still has a vagina and ovaries and uterus, so "he" is still a woman no matter what "he" may say. There is no such thing as a pregnant man, becuase you must have 2 little things called and "X" chromosome and a "Y" chromosome to be a man. If a man loses his penis, he is still a male. If a female gets a penis, she is still a female, no matter what they say or do.

I'm a regular viewer of Red Eye. I don't remember a single time when any of the the show's regulars insulted or made fun of the gay community.

Earlier this week Greg interviewed Leslie Jordan (from Will and Grace.) Mr. Jordan describes himself as "the gayest man in the world." The interview was very well done, and I'm sure Mr. Jordan would be willing to be on Red Eye again.

I agree with him. Why should Ellen be announcing how much she loves her lover. Wouldn't that be obvious since she is getting married (IF the ruling holds up). Most people don't announce to the world how much they love their sexual partner!

Queers United said...

So Iron Mike you didn't or won't tell anyone if you decide to get married right? Because NOBODY does that...

ehm for example Bush's daughter.

This article is worthless along with most other articles on this website. Not ONCE in that videoclip did Greg say anything against gays. His comments were obviously about how short lived publicly announced relationships are because of the pressure. Someone needs to pay more attention when they watch tv. I've found the articles on this site to be INCREDIBLY closed minded and this one is no different since you assume that a conservative talking about a lesbian is being anti-gay when the sentences he's using are so obviously not.
