Youtube Posts The Times of Harvey Milk in Its Entirety

In honor of LGBT pride, YouTube has uploaded the full movie of The Times of Harvey Milk. The Oscar-winning documentary film about the successful career and assassination of San Francisco's first openly gay man to be elected to office.

vyzion do you mean on the gay and lesbian topix, because I post there, if it is on another topix that would be cool to know.

tr I was pretty sure I never saw it but after watching the beginning it all looks familiar, but maybe some of those interviews were in MILK too.

It doesn't work, probably due to geographical restrictions.

That seems odd, how could there be geographical restrictions on the net? Unless you work or goto school someplace that has a filter on certain LGBT keywords?

Probably by IP. I've downloaded it behind a proxy in order to fool this filter. I had also troubles with BBC program about asexuality, since it seemed to be available inside the UK.

It's quite common for audiovisual material to be available only in certain areas. Films are often distributed by different companies in different areas, so if you buy distribution rights, you have to filter by IP address. As Isaac says, a lot of BBC programmes are available only in the UK. The entire Hulu site is USA only. And professional videos on YouTube are sometimes restricted to certain areas.

I can't get this video here in Ireland. And I can't get a lot of BBC content either. Annoying.
