High Society Trailer - Real Look. Series Premiere Wednesday, March 10 on the CW network is the subject of controversy. The show is about rich people doing and saying whatever they want. The trailer below shows how racist language like the N word is condoned, and how transphobic insults such as "tranny" are aired.
Please tell the CW Network that racist and transphobic language does not belong on the airwaves and that the women using it must be educated as to why it is wrong.

WTF? Tyra Banks Show Seeking "Ex-Gays"
Maybe I spoke too quickly when I said that Tyra Banks is a true ally of the LGBT commmunity.
Now the Tyra Banks show is looking to host a program on "Ex-Gays"
"I WANT TO BE AN EX-GAYThe Tyra Banks show has been inclusive in featuring gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people in her shows in a positive light. Unless Tyra Banks seeks to prove on her show how "conversion therapy" and "ex-gays" are nothing more than a myth and people who are in denial or outright lying, this show is a bad move.
Are you a gay man or lesbian who wants to be straight? Do your friends or family disagree with your gay lifestyle and wish you were straight? If you ever wish you could erase your same-sex attractions and not be gay?" (Tyra)
Click here to send actual good show ideas to Tyra.
Click here to leave a comment telling Tyra Banks either not to make a show on "ex-gays" or to make one which exposes the myth that is the "ex-gay" movement. If the show just shows so called "ex-gays" and religious fanatics it will further confuse people in the closet and legitimize a movement that is based in fear and hate and not grounded in science, psychology or reality.

Petition to Heinz to Re-Instate TV Ad
We reported on the Heinz controversy a few days ago. Now there is a petition circulating to ask Heinz to re-instate the ad.
"We petition Heinz to reinstate its Deli Mayo TV advertisement following complaints from 200 people as to its 'offensive' and 'inappropriate' content.
We feel that the decision to withdraw the advert is wrong in the face of a small number of narrow-minded individuals.
By doing so, Heinz have given the impression that they would prefer to cater for the homophobic than the free-thinking, and the decision has provoked upset, brand distrust and outrage among the LGBT community and outside of it.
Do not bow down to these homophobic individuals."

Not So Fast - We Saw The Anti-Gay Bias WNEM!
WNEM, a CBS affiliated network has published fiercely biased anti-gay coverage of the Day of Silence. They quickly took down the article after Queer activists complained that this was a mouthpiece for the right-wing homophobic agenda.

Canada's OutTV Subjected to Unfair Treatment
According to Slap Upside The Head:
"Canada’s only gay and lesbian television channel has filed a complaint with the CRTC over treatment by a local cable provider.
OutTV says that not only does Shaw Communications exclude the channel from their “All In” package and make it a by-request-only subscription (the only specialty station to receive this treatment), but they have also moved the station’s channel number multiple times, first from 100 to 200, then to 370. Worse, the last move put the station immediately beside adult offerings: Channel 371 is Hustler, 372 is Playboy, and 373 is Red Light District."
It is unfair and unethical to constantly move the OutTV channel and damages their business and credibiiltiy. In addition their is no adult content on the channel and thus it should not be showcased along with sex oriented channels simply because the channel is geared toward a gay/lesbian audience.
Please contact the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to voice your concern over Shaw's homophobic and unfair treatment of OutTV.
