"Lesbian bed death" is a term invented to suggest that the longer lesbians stay together in a relationship, the less sexual it becomes overtime. The study which originally made these claims has come under intense criticism on the account that it was ambiguous and views sex in terms of male sexuality.

My best friend and I decided that if we ever start a band again, we'll name it "Lesbian Bed Death."
Actually, it's going to be 17 years this July *squeaks*, and I think we're doing all right.
No LBD here! (after a decade)
Plus, we talked about it through the years and know that there are plenty of same sex couples that suffer from "bed death" or just plain old laziness in the bedroom.
I like that band name! LOL!
I think it isn't a lesbian or gay thing, or straight thing, most couples after a while grow fatigued and become less sexual.
It was the FIRST thing I was told about when I came out to my friends, and it worried the hell out of me, until I read the research and it seems QU has it right, it's about anyone's bed death, and I can just make sure that ole' spark stays in it.
Totally agree, here's another interesting article on the topic! http://www.lesbilicious.co.uk/sex-relationships/lesbian-bed-death-a-self-inflicted-curse/comment-page-1/#comment-26959
I didn't want to believe it but after five years together my wife and I are hardly ever intimate. She says only men want sex as much as me and she doesn't understand it. I don't think it is so much a lesbian thing as a female brain thing. For some...
There already is a band named Lesbian Bed Death.
