Shameless Self Promotion Sunday

Please feel free to share any links to queer or queer related topics of interest. You can post a blog entry you made, a website you found interesting. Anything goes as long as it is queer in nature.

Rob and Arnie Of Omaha Pick On A Trans Child: These two shock jocks went as far as to suggest violence against a child because they find it abnormal on the radio.

You're Gay: Looking at how to talk to children if they are being called gay as an insult.

Bruno Teabags Eminiem: Sacha Baron Cohen in the character of Bruno decides to teabag Eminem to highlight his homophobia. In the process Sacha end up employing all the stereotypes used against gay men.

'Rob and Arnie' broadcast on radio station KRXQ Omaha encouraged physical attacks and mental anguish directed at transgender children.

Although unapologetic radio station KRXQ has removed it's link on its website to this broadcast.

You may here in in its entirety here.
http://tinyurl.com/l85ska

The removal of that link was only done because we have successfully lobbied over 10 of KRXQ's major advertisers to pull there ads.

GLAAD, TransYouth and Allies, Dallas Transgender Advocates and Allies and a host of others will not be satisfied until KRXQ offers a public apology and retraction.

This is not the only occurrence of this behaviour at KRXQ. They have through the years defamed and maligned gay, lesbians and children. They last stepped over the line in 2004 and were fined $55,000 dollars by the FCC for hateful language against woman and children.

Please help us insure that the language broadcast at KRXQ in the future does not advocate 'beat downs' and verbal abuse on woman and children.

If we're going to be shameless, I'd love to get my blog out there. It chronicles my transition and gender musings post transition as well.
