It is also the title of my 4th year class in Gender Studies at UNBC in Northern BC; first taught in 1998 and taught every other year since (what can I say we're a small university)
I would be curious to learn if this term was used anywhere before Kate Bornstein's 1994 book "Gender Outlaw: On Men, Women and the Rest of Us".
