A "pinky ring" was fashionable for male homosexuals between the 1950's-1970's to signify their orientation. Some also believe that the pinky finger was a sign of spirituality.
That looks like one of the rings you can geton loveandpride.com. They have some prettystuff...Expensive but pretty :)HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!
did not know that. day-um. and here I thought pinky rings were just bad taste ; )
The pinky finger has a very different meaning for me. Hehe...
OH BOY! lol ;)
I didn't know that about pinky rings. You mean...my dad was right all along? I can't believe it.
T.R. some people say its a myth but others contend its true. Either way the pinky ring has come to be associated with being gay. So what came first the chicken or the egg? But either way the chicken roosts.
That's why so many Priests wear them? And I thought my mother wanted me to be a Priest when she bought me the ring in the 70's? The secrets out.
But engineers wear the Iron Ring on their pinkie finger!
Maybe that's the way it was in a couple of areas, but I've never heard that before. Engineers, Lawyers, and ancient kings all wore a pinky ring for legitimate reasons, never for sexual orientation.
