Shameless Self Promotion Sunday

Please feel free to share any links to queer or queer related topics of interest. You can post a blog entry you made, a website you found interesting. Anything goes as long as it is queer in nature.

Just wanted to let everyone know about a great group of SF/F writers: The Outer Alliance

It's a group that loves social media and making connections.

Mission Statement:
"As a member of the Outer Alliance, I advocate for queer speculative fiction and those who create, publish and support it, whatever their sexual orientation and gender identity. I make sure this is reflected in my actions and my work."

Welcome to Outer Alliance Spotlight #4.
"Each Friday the Spotlight features an ally who writes, reviews, publishes, or is in some other way involved with LGBTQI speculative fiction. Our guest this week is Lynn Flewelling, author of the Nightrunner series and the Tamir Triad."

I enjoyed reading about how and why Lynn created her characters Alec and Seregil in the Nightrunner series. I'm such a sucker for people thinking outside of the box.

For more information about social networking with the group, you can start with @outeralliance on Twitter.

I'd like to thank the folks from here who came to my blog last week & posted positive comments based on my Shameless Self Promotion.
I'm still dealing with some controversial issues, but working hard to do so in a mannner that's loving, kind and will have a positive impact.
Judy Shepard (Matt's Mom) who I interviewed recently, remains my role model in this regard~~what a classy lady she is, filled with love for the world in spite of her tragedy!!

I've put up two more posts since last week. I'd love to get more feedback, including constructive
criticism, from anyone who might care to offer it.

I hope people will visit my blog:
David's Open Forum.
On topic op-eds are welcome, and can be emailed to me through my Blogger profile.

Check out the new interview with Bob Smith at my website, QueerReader.com. Mr. Smith's gay comedic novel, Selfish and Perverse, was just published in paperback. Bob Smith also wrote for MadTV and is the first gay stand-up comic to appear on the Tonight show.

TransFixation (TransFix for short) is a new line of erotic fiction from lyd Alterotica featuring authentic portrayals of transgender characters. And the first story available in the TransFix line?

Why, that would be my bisexual transgender bdsm tale THIRD RAIL.

Read all about it: http://donutsdesires.blogspot.com/2009/10/third-rail-authentic-transgender.html

I stumbled upon a rather nice community called Queeries this week that might be of interest to some folks here :)

And on my blog I talked about the sex binary in relation to a 'brain sex ID' test that keeps circulating around, and my progress in finding and being happy with my own gender identity.
