Unified Voice - Stand for Civil Partnerships
The people at Unified Voice believe that America is not ready for marriage equality, so instead their focus is on taking it one step at a time, securing as many rights as possible. They hope that through their action they can secure civil partnerships in all 50 states by 2020.

Hospital Visitation Rights Petition
Janice Langbehn and Lisa Pond were ready to depart on a family cruise with their children when tragedy struck. Lisa collapsed and was rushed to a Miami hospital. At the hospital, Janice was told she was in an antigay state and kept from seeing her partner of 20 years. Lisa lay dying alone with her family just feet away in the next room.
We're suing the hospital on Janice's behalf. We're also calling on the next President of the United States to create a health care plan that ensures fair treatment for LGBT people and people with HIV in hospitals and health care settings.
Help Lambda Legal get 10,000 signatures on the petition!

Biden & Palin on Same-Sex Partner Benefits
Last night during the vice presidential debate between Senator Joe Biden (D) and Governor Sarah Palin (R) the issue of same-sex partner benefits came up. Biden stated that we must advance civil rights, while not "redefining marriage" and Palin said that she supports only "one man and one woman marriage" but that she is "tolerant" and that a "McCain/Palin administration would not be a roadblock to having things like hospital visitation rights for same-sex couples".
