Last night during the vice presidential debate between Senator Joe Biden (D) and Governor Sarah Palin (R) the issue of same-sex partner benefits came up. Biden stated that we must advance civil rights, while not "redefining marriage" and Palin said that she supports only "one man and one woman marriage" but that she is "tolerant" and that a "McCain/Palin administration would not be a roadblock to having things like hospital visitation rights for same-sex couples".

Oh, she won't be a roadblock? That's so nice. Oh I'm sorry, was I having a moment of rampant sarcasm? Yeah, that's my reaction to a load of bullshit, I'm afraid. Must be an allergy.
Don't tell me you define marriage as "one man and one woman" and then tell me you're "tolerant" and "support equal rights".
Don't piss on my head and tell me it's raining, Sarah.
Oh by the way, I also posted about the debate, and linked QU, but blogger doesn't have trackback, I don't think. So here's the link.
I agree with Screaming Lemur...I really hate the language used by Biden & Palin when it came to gay marriage rights. To me they both sounded like, "I really don't think you should get married but I won't say it outright to your face."
I know that gay marriage has become an issue for several countries now, but I'm even more dumbfounded when it's such a big issue in American *sigh* I don't get it...
interesting, Miss Palin
