The Million "Fag" March is an annual event held at Gage Park in Topeka, KS near the home of Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church (God Hates Fags). The March is designed to protest the antics of Phelps and his church, who have become a symbol for the homophobia that remains throughout the United States.
The main goal of the MFM is to use the very same rights and laws the members of the WBC use to shield themselves. However, the March sends out an opposing message of peace and acceptance for all people. "We believe that ignoring a problem will not make it go away, and that we must take advantage of the rights our country gives us to speak up when we see wrong-doing in our communities, cities, and the U.S. as a whole."

The Million Fag March 5.30.09
The Million "Fag" March is an annual event held at Gage Park in Topeka, KS near the home of Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church (God Hates Fags). The March is designed to protest the antics of Phelps and his church, who have become a symbol for the homophobia that remains throughout the United States.
The main goal of the MFM is to "take the offensive," using the very same rights and laws the members of the WBC use to shield themselves. However, the March sends out an opposing message of peace and acceptance for all people. We believe that ignoring a problem will not make it go away, and that we must take advantage of the rights our country gives us to speak up when we see wrong-doing in our communities, cities, and the U.S. as a whole.
The Second Annual Million "Fag" March will be held on May 30, 2009 beginning at 2:00pm in Gage Park. Gather at the Gage Park Amphitheater.

Phelps-A-Thon
Driving Equality an 85 day activist trip across America promoting LGBT understanding and tolerance and culminating in a documentary is hosting a Phelps-A-Thon today.
For every minute the “God Hates Fags” clan is protesting, they will be collecting donations for Driving Equality.
The point of the Phelps-A-Thon is two fold. First, they are using Phelps own hateful message to raise funds for a good cause, one that will help counter the lies that are being spread about LGBT people. Second, they will be displaying a sign in front of the “God Hates Fags” clan tallying how much money they have helped raise for LGBT equality. This will certainly upset the group and it is possible that they will leave early to stop the fundraising.

We Made the "God Hates Fags" News List Again!
It is an honor for Queers United to make the notorious anti-gay and ludicrous news feed of "God Hates Fags."
A link to an entry on a protest listing is labeled with this...
"Obama's Grandmama is in hell - you got a problem with that?"
What Obama's grandmother has to do with our request for people to act as a buffer against the GHF cult, in protection of the students who held the Laramie Project show, one will never know.
Well, anyways it is a Sunday and I figured I'd share the humor, ridiculousness and utter sadness that is the "Westboro Baptist Church."
Praise ye my fellow homosexuals, for you are the light unto the nations and the chosen lavender petals that will stream my queendom of heaven. Amen.

Support Alameda H.S. Students on Laramie Project
On Fri, Nov. 14, Alameda High School students will be performing a production of The Laramie Project which was originally going to be picketed by Fred Phelps of the "God Hates Fags" group.
They were trying to get as many people there to show support for the students and hopefully act as a buffer against the kids being further traumatized by that group's despicable tactics.
Apparently the Westboro Baptist Church has canceled their appearance in order to protest in Hawaii instead. Word has it that a candlelight vigil in support of the students will still occur. They are asking people to arrive around 6-6:15 PM. Alameda High is located at 2201 Encinal Ave, Alameda, CA 94501.
