Keith Olbermann a True Hero & Ally

Keith Olbermann of the MSNBC show Countdown has given six and a half minutes of air time to express his true remorse for proposition 8 passing. It is a beautiful video and straight from his heart to the American people. It is incredibly moving that Mr. Olbermann who has no personal stake in marriage rights would make this strong heartfelt plea urging Americans to think twice about their stance on marriage equality. Please watch the video below and join me in sending a very gracious thank you to Keith Olbermann for being such a strong ally and for speaking out against prop 8.

Send a thank you message to Keith Olbermann

I don't have cable television, so I've only seen some clips of him online. However, I have to say that I have definitely become a Keith Olbermann fan as a result of his coverage of, and comments on, the recent election.

We need to spread the word about Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow (out lesbian) on MSNBC.

MSNBC has become the liberal/progressive counter to Fox New's conservative/right wing bias.

MSNBC's ratings are generally a bit low but we need to raise them up so they can compete with Fox.

We need to show them that there is a market for liberal and progressive ideas and opinions.

wow... simply an amazing speech, I feel emotional after watching that. For a straight person he certainly shows passion for our love =3

The tone of his voice works well. Such inspiration, everyone Christian should watch this and maybe he can change a few of them for our cause. Simply amazing! Probably the best pro speech for our cause I have ever heard =3

Show meh some Rachel Maddow!

Oops, I didn't mean to delete my comment above, I just wanted to add to it...

I love Keith Olbermann! And Kelly, I don't have a TV, but you can download the whole show for free as a podcast on iTunes. I get his show and Rachel Maddow's (who I have a huge crush on :)).

That was an amazing speech. It made me tear up a little. It's great to hear such an impassioned speech from a straight ally!

I just watched it again. So true and so beautifully spoken.

Well....he's correct in this case, but I'm not an Olberman fan. In fact, I thought the Ben Affleck impression of him on Saturday Night Live captured him perfectly. I'm glad Arnold Schwarzennegger has made statements about his regret over Prop 8, too.

He reminds me a little bit of Chris Farley in the Herlihy Boy skit on SNL.

AMEN! The only problem is that it is
falling on deaf ears...The people who
voted for Prop 8 don't care to hear
the truths....They live in their own
little worlds where it's sunny every
day and bigotry is a norm....

Here's to the over turning of Prop 8!

HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched it live on MSNBC. Keith Olberman was amazing and you could see the genuine emotion. I've seen many of his special comments before, but few were as obviously heartfelt as this one. Thank you, Keith!

Is anyone else getting a return on one of the emails? The KO one seems to send back to me.

Wow! Such honesty and heartfelt emotion. I wish that all the supporters of Prop 8 could hear this, but even if they did, sadly, many will refuse to hear the honesty of his words. Thank you, Mr. Olberman, for your courage and kindness.

Honesty and openness from Keith Olbermann?!? You've got to be kidding. Do you really take this seriously? Whatever.
I like your slogans "Stop the H8" and "Equality for All" because you preach one thing and you practice another. You should take a lesson from those of us who want to protect traditional (translate: natural, correct, godly) marriage. We invite open discussion, we do so peacefully and we tell the truth.

Tommy Boy - Traditional marriage is between a man and several wives, are you advocate of polygamy? That is what the bible offers. Since you want to protect what is "natural, correct, and godly" I guess you would be an advocate of gay marriage. We are natural, born this way, as are all in the animal kingdom that are gay, we are correct in our fight for equality, and we are Godly because we are fierce, fabulous, and made in the image of our creator. I will pray for you.

preset - i doubt they watched it, they just come to stir trouble.

I guess it shows I haven't been lurking much or long, but Tommy is the first troll I've seen here.

"Open for debate"...hmm...one of the funny things I've noticed about trolls is that they tend to believe that their demeanor makes them automatically the winners if they use better manners or are less "emotional" than the person they're arguing with.

Anyway, I've seen the video. I give Olbermann props for caring a lot about the issue but not scapegoating people of color.

This is the most upset I've seen him.

He really gets emotional when he finds something horrible

Keith Olberman is a fake...he is really Rachel Maddow in a suit.
