Daily Caller Refers to Rachel Maddow as Man

The Daily Caller news website founded by Tucker Carlson is getting attention not for their content but their insulting and childish material. Carlson already has a bad reputation in the queer community after bragging about beating up a gay man, and calling gay families controversial. Now the website is taking their aim at MSNBC's lesbian political talk show host Rachel Maddow.

On the site there is a picture of Maddow and below it says:

"Whoops, how did that one get in there? Sorry, man. I mean dude. I mean Rachel! Sorry, Rachel."
Really Daily Caller? Are we in third grade? This childish and offensive language is showing the authors phobia towards alternative sexuality and gender expression.

Complaints can be sent to TheDC via email at info@dailycaller.com and Twitter.

Tell the President to End the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Policy and not to Fire Lt. Dan Choi

Lt. Dan Choi, from Orange County, California, is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and an Iraq War veteran. Last March he went on Rachel Maddow's show and spoke three truthful words: "I am gay."

As a result Lt. Choi received a letter from the Army on April 23 discharging him for violating the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. He told Rachel Maddow the letter was "a slap in the face" to himself and the soldiers he as commanded and served with over the past decade.

Lt. Choi is fighting to stay in the military and ensure that no other soldier is ever again discharged as a result of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." The Courage Campaign and CREDO Mobile are joining his effort to secure equality in our armed forces.

President Obama did not create this policy. But he now has the opportunity to keep his promise and allow gay and lesbian soldiers to serve openly in the military. It's the right thing to do -- for justice and for national security.

140,860 people (as of Tuesday, May 26) have signed the following petition to President Obama from the Courage Campaign and CREDO Mobile. Please add your name now:

Your Daily Dose of Maddow, Perez, and General Queer Bashing

Andrew Wilkow guest hosted Mark Levin's right-wing radio show on Sirius XM (one of the highest-rated right-wing talk radio shows in America)

The full remarks aimed at Maddow: "You, the idiot taxpayer, are paying the salary of that nice little boy, Rachel Maddow . . . Keith Olbermann’s nephew, Rachel Maddow"

He also went on later in the program to insult celebrity-gossiper Perez Hilton.

"Perez Hilton, who I am now terming a vile sodomite . . . yeah, Perez, you’re a vile sodomite – doesn’t that word have a ring to it – sodomite — and vile – vile sodomite – it just sounds so good to hear in my headphones – vile sodomite . . . . I’m not sure whose idea it was to have an overweight homosexual . . . What do gays constitute? They could announce the cure for AIDS on Logo and nobody would know for two weeks . . . And again, Perez Hilton, you’re a vile sodomite . . . and then this vile sodomite"

Scroll down to the bottom of Andrew Wilkow's Sirius page, to his "what do you think?" section. I am sure you all have a few words.

H/T to Queerty.

Too Butch for Primetime!

It appears the television network MSNBC is presenting the LGBT community a double edged sword this evening. Rachel Maddow openly lesbian political commentator is getting a prime time slot to air her progressive ideological viewpoint. This is great not only as a way for members of our community to be in the public spotlight but also to take on the neo-cons ie: Pat Buchanan and the like who are anti-gay.

Here is the problem...

"MSNBC loves the chatter of liberal pundit Rachel Maddow, but not her look. Maddow, who's getting her own show, is being subjected to a network makeover. A source says an entire "glam squad" has been hired for the openly gay Maddow, and she has been asked not to wear her Drew Carey-esque glasses again. There's even talk of "putting her in a skirt." We're sure that'll do the trick. A rep for the channel didn't return e-mails."
(NY Post)

There has been speculation all over the place. Some are suggesting this is an attempt by the NY Post (owned by Rupert Murdoch of Fox News) to damage MSNBC. Politely message MSNBC making sure Rachel Maddow can present as she likes and let them clarify what their position is.
