Cambridge Phelps-A-Thon

Fred Phelps and his anti-gay cult God Hates Fags will protesting against Cambridge Rindge and Latin school in Cambridge, MA, home to one of the oldest gay-straight alliances in the United States.

God Hates Fags is planning their demonstration for March 13th.

For every minute they protest, equality minded people worldwide will be donating to the Phelp-A-Thon.

Hint hint, a round trip Charlie ticket Providence to Boston is only what, $15.50 and then another $4 for the subway into Camrbidge. I'll probably be there to throw eggs at the Phelps clan.

I heasrd phelps and his spawn was denied entrance in the United Kingdom for his dementedly bigoted ideas. He should be banned from every civilized nation!

I actually support his free speech rights. God Hates Fags is the best thing for gay rights, it makes gay haters look so crazy, and nobody wants to be aligned with phelps. It makes even anti-gay people sympathetic.

That reminds me, where is the Free Speech squad that were all over the House and NY Post cartoon, anyway?

They only make that statement when it fits their arguments.

Truthspew, I would have to say throwing eggs would not be a good idea. I understand the anger these people incite, but your best bet would be to "kill them with kindness."

The reason I say this is because the media will most likely be present, and they will be showing Phelps in a negative light as they always do, and if they show your side being peaceful and respectful, it shows that we are not the haters and that it is indeed Phelps and his Klan who are disrespectful of others.

Independent Voter: I don't tolerate religious bigots all that well.

I'd actually be thrilled if someone gunned down the whole clan of them on national television.

This whole "Lets play Mr. Nice Guy" only goes so far. Sometimes you have to play on their level.

Unfortunately gunning them down would make them martyrs for their little cause I think.
