Shameless Self Promotion Sunday

Please feel free to share any links to queer or queer related topics of interest. You can post a blog entry you made, a website you found interesting. Anything goes as long as it is queer in nature.

The Game Of Life And The Gay Agenda: Shockwave.com has decided to upgrade this game to include same sex families. Now you can choose to be a woman and marry a woman while raising 4 kids in this new downloadable version of the 1860’s classic. Instead of seeing this as a positive step towards inclusion and allowing children to participate in an activity that shows a positive validation of their lives, there are those that claim this new version is damaging.

ABC's What Would You Do Homphobia In A Bar In New Jersey: ABC ran an experiment of inserting a gay couple in a bar to test the reaction of the patrons.

Sarah Gronert Is Not A Man: Sarah Gronert was born intersex but underwent surgery to completely align her genitalia with her feminine gender. Schlomo Tzoref, who coaches player Julia Glushko, told the New York Daily News that Gronert has a clear advantage and should not be able to compete against women. "There is no girl who can hit serves like that, not even Venus Williams," he said."This is not a woman, it's a man. She does not have the power of a woman and no woman has such a technique," he added.

Got two for ya:

1) http://truthspew.wordpress.com/2009/03/28/an-exchange-with-rev-john-codega-an-opponent-of-marriage-equality/

and

I really like the forum. No Sargeant at Arms, we could heckle Codega & Co.

well, here's my blog of bipolar trans-ranting.
I'm no philosopher, just an older transwoman struggling through life in a backwards redneck town in the deep south.

I blog about who should be on the next True Colors Tour.

The re-release of R+P 1989 Tour shirts at various POD sites. Do I have to tell everyone who Romanovsky + Phillips are?

Tres Fab Sweetie
At my blog you can expect plenty of gratitious eye candy, the latest news, celebrity, some gossip, fun and humour, faabulous music, fashion, the occasional share and lots lots more. Add a touch of sparkle, a sprinking of Buddhism, and wrap it all up in a package more camp than a row of chiffon tents, and there you are!

Yesterday, I attended an LGBT and Labor forum with Cleve Jones. Very insightful and a great piece on coalition building for the equal rights movement.

Southeast Regional Queer Conference Next Weekend!

http://unityconference.webs.com/

The Southeastern Regional Unity Conference is an annual gathering of progressive lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer identified people and their allies in the Southeast. It was founded to create dialogues about the intersections of gender and sexuality with ability, age, class, faith, health, and race/ethnicity, to explore strategies for effective grassroots organizing, and to share work that we and other LGBTIQ activists are doing in the Southeast. In generating these conversations, the Unity Conference serves to foster a progressive Southeastern LGBTIQ movement that affirms and reflects all aspects of the identities of LGBTIQ people.

This year's conference will take place at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill from Friday, April 3 to Sunday, April 5.
