A "bisexual" is a person who is sexually and/or emotionally attracted to people of both sexes. Bisexual orientations lie on a continuum, like all of sexuality, some people lie more towards the heterosexual persuasion while others closer to the homosexual persuasion.

You should include in here that one who is bisexual never has to engage physically with both genders in order to "qualify" as bisexual.
There is tons of Biphobia around in the heterosexual and the LGBTQIQ community. Gay men and lesbian women encompass the queer norm while bisexual and trans folks are on the lines.
