Word of the Gay: "Uranian"

"Uranian" is a term that was historically used to discuss gender variant males and females. It described someone who was considered trapped in the wrong body. The term was adopted by early gay liberationists who had visions of a classless society and one free of gender barriers.

Another new word.

I did learn another one today. I don't really
can't remember if you had already posted it
or not but it's:

HETEROSEXISM-another form of homophobia.
It can also include the presumption that
everybody is heterosexual only.

If you've already done it than I'm sorry.

HUGS!!!!

Why did I read that as "uranium"?

Uranian...I like that even though I can't pinpoint why.

Uranian sounds a bit like urine-ian to me at the moment. Am I pronouncing it wrong?
(Not exactly like urine-ian, but close.)

Either way, it fits somewhere with the word, "Utopia."

Ok, I'll admit, my automatic thought had to do with the uranus jokes, y'know, like Keep the planet clean, its not uranus. har har.

Thanks for clearing that up for me!

Uranian sounds like "musical" for gay men, very cryptic.
