Demand Family Policy Council of West Virginia Take Down Sniper Ad

Truth Wins Out (TWO) has called on The Family Policy Council of West Virginia to immediately remove an online video ad that compares same-sex marriage supporters to snipers targeting families. The goal of the ad is to rally supporters to lobby in favor of amending West Virginia’s constitution to prohibit same sex couples from marrying.

“This kind of overheated rhetoric creates a climate where hate crimes can occur,” said Truth Wins Out’s Executive Director Wayne Besen. “We demand that The Family Policy Council of West Virginia apologize and take down this violent ad. This video is reckless, wrongheaded and irresponsible.”

Wow. Yes, our goal is to take over the church and infiltrate their culture! Man, with all this talk about God and morals, it's amazing how much they lie.

And this whole issue about the classroom. I don't remember ever being taught about marriage in school. My parents did that. Leave it up to the parents to teach their kids whatever they believe.

I dont see why we dont start pointing out the dangers of religious fundamentalism with videos of our own. After all thats why we went to war is the middle east. Christians fundamentalists are just as bad as Islamic fundamentalists. Just say no to religious brainwashing.

This kind of religious inflamatory is the same type of thing we saw in the 1960's against the anti-segregationists. It lead to unspeakable violence. I hope that will noy happen today, but that will depend on clear unmistakenable leadership from the President and the Congress. Neither has stepped forward yet.

I hope someone from West Virginia will go to this link:

There you will find a story that states, according to US Department of Health and Human Services, West Virginia tops in child abuse, neglect!

So, the "traditional" and "necessary" and "desired" family unit in West Virginia is NOT a safe environment for children - since they rank #1 in child abuse and neglect. THIS is what they want to raise up as a reason to keep committed same-sex couples from being able to get married?

WOW!

I am so disgusted about hearing about the school issues. I was never even taught about marriage or sexual orientation is school. This video talked about the rights of Christian schools and whatnot, but I recall reading an article not too long ago about a lesbian girl in high school, I believe, who got expelled for having a relationship with another girl in her class. What is more important, the rights of organizations like that or the fundamental rights of people? I choose people, and I'm damn tired of hearing about this stupid issue. My parents are straight and my dad left when I was 10. I can't see how growing up with two same sex parents would cause anymore joy or unhappiness as growing up with a "mother" and "father". Couples are couples, and they all have the same potential for the same problems and the same ability to raise children properly or neglect them. It's all just the same. Why can't people just open their eyes and see that??

Also? Their map is wrong. Iowa doesn't have a marriage amendment, I'm pretty sure.
